What Is A Personal Project & Why Do I Care?

What is a Personal Project?

A personal project is a simulation of your own life — a way to name the roadblocks in your path and, more importantly, build a real plan to move around them, over them, or under them. Instead of waiting for the perfect moment, you create your own container for growth.

Here are a few ways to get started:

The crazy idea project — Do you have something you’ve always wanted to try, but everyone insists is unrealistic? Honestly, you’re not crazy. It’s time to do it anyway.

The curiosity project — Have you had an interest sitting on the back burner? Now, finally, is the moment to explore it.

The getting inspired project — Feeling stuck or uninspired? Together, let’s find the thing that lights you back up.

The learning something new project — Wanted to pick up a new skill for a while? Clearly, there’s no better time to start than now.”

Why Care About a Personal Project?

A personal project supports your self-development in ways everyday routines rarely do. Specifically, it sharpens your creativity, builds new habits, and reduces stress along the way. Beyond that, it slows you down, connects you with new people, and teaches you something you didn’t know before. Ultimately, it gives you a genuine answer the next time someone asks what you’ve been up to — instead of the same tired ‘not much.’

So, time to start my next project. What’s yours?

Time to start my next project.
